The popular SBS entertainment program "Running Man" producer Kim Yong Jae talked about the differences between 'Running Man' and its Chinese version "Run, Brother." On October 2014, the program "Run, Brother!" premiered in China.
In a recent interview, producer Kim Yong Jae said that Chinese audiences loved to see Chinese top stars in their humane forms, such as trying to remove one another's name tag and fighting hard to win the mission. He also compared the Korean and Chinese culture. Producer Kim said, "Chinese audiences liked to laugh at light things, like slapstick comedy, and also looked for a story within those laughs. Instead of puns, they preferred contents that yielded laughs in a didactic story." In related news, the SBS entertainment program "Running Man" is a popular program in China, and stars such as Deng Chao, Wang Ba O Chang, Wang Chu Lan, Chun Ga, Lee Chun, Jung Kai and Angela Baby are fixed casts of the program. The SBS entertainment program "Running Man" has been one of the oldest and widely popular weekend shows in Korea, along with "Infinite Challenge" and "1 Night 2 Days." The "Running Man" members, Yoo Jae Suk, Gary, Haha, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Lee Kwang Soo and Song Ji Hyo, play missions with guests of the weekend. It airs every Sunday night.
