Choi Jin Hyuk Delivers Lunar New Year Greetings On Taiwan's 'Idols Of Asia'

On February 13, Choi Jin Hyuk made a grand entrance as one of the artists who is participating in MTV Taiwan's Lunar New Year superstar marathon. Fans gathered outside as part of the program “Idols of Asia” which generally features pop idols from Taiwan, Korean, and Japan.

The inclusion of the K-Drama star on “Idols of Asia” is an unique occurrence which attests to his increased fame through “The Heirs,” “Emergency Couple,” and “Fated to Love You.” “The Heirs” helped to generate more interest in the Chinese market and his appearance in “Fated to Love You” opposite Jang Na Ra provided more fans within in the region.

He has not released music beyond his original soundtrack releases. His original soundtrack appearances include “Don't Look Back” for “The Heirs” and “Scent of a Flower” for the “Emergency Couple” compilation.

His appearance on the Taiwanese music show reflects increased the interested interest of fans throughout Asia in Korean dramas and their corresponding soundtracks.

In footage shared by the outlet ET Today, he appears with “Idols of Asia” hosts Apple and Ken. Ken and Apple are dressed in lab coats, referencing his hit “Emergency Couple.” During the segments filmed by ET Today, the hosts instruct the Korean actor with Chinese phrases.

The actor has increased his activities abroad including fan meetings in Hong Kong and Taiwan, as the time for his military enlistment approaches.

He will also appear in the upcoming Japanese film “Love Vampire,” which is scheduled for release on April 17.

“Idols of Asia” will feature other prominent Korean stars including Jay Park, as part of the countdown to the start of the Lunar New Year on February 19.
