We compare the Samsung Galaxy Alpha against the Apple iPhone 5C to see which device is the better purchase.
According to the specs from TheFuseJoplin, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a bigger screen at 4.7 inches and its Super AMOLED that renders a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels at 312 ppi pixel density, while the iPhone 5C screen is at 4 inches and the LED-backlit IPS LCD can render a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels with a higher pixel density of 326 ppi.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has the following dimensions of 132.4 x 65.5 x 6.7 mm, and its lighter at 115 grams, while the iPhone 5C is heavier at 132 grams, and its dimensions are 124.4 x 59.2 x 9 mm.
For the hardware and OS, GSMArena stated that the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is equipped with two sets of quad-core processors clocked at 1.8 GHz and 1.3 GHz. Its chipset is the Exynos 5 Octa 5430, and the Mali-T628 MP6 for graphics. It has 32 GB of internal memory and its RAM capacity is at 2GB. The Samsung runs on the Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat), which will have the v5.0 (Lollipop) upgrade.
The Apple iPhone 5C on the other hand is equipped with a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, powered by a Apple A8 chipset and a PowerVR SGX 543MP3 for graphics. Its RAM capacity is only 1GB of RAM, but its internal memory has three sets at 8,16,and 32GB. Its software is the iOS7 which will run on the iOS 8.1.3 soon.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a 12MP rear camera along with an equally impressive 2.1MP front shooter. The iPhone 5C on the other hand, is equipped with a 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP rear camera. The Li-Po battery on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is at 1860 mAh capacity which can last up to 11 hours in 3G, while the iPhone 5C has a 1510 mAh battery that can 10 hours.
