We compare Samsung's Galaxy S4 Mini against Motorola's Moto G to see which smartphone is the better purchase.
According to the specs from The FuseJoplin, the Motorola Moto G has a plastic covering that features a matte finish and a rear camera at the back. The M logo is just below the camera. Its equipped with a 4.5 inch IPS LCD that can render a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels at 326 ppi pixel density. Its physical dimensions are 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm, weighing 143 grams, and it is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini incorporates the same design as the original S4. It comes with rounded edges and corners, in addition to a textured back and a silver frame on the edges of the phone. Its screen is Super AMOLED at 4.3 inches, which can render a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels at 256 ppi. It weighs around 107 grams with the dimensions of 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.9 mm, and its protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
Both smartphones are equipped with Snapdragon 400 chipset along with an Adreno 305 for graphics. But the difference between them is that the Moto G has a quad-core processor at 1.2 GHz with a RAM capacity of 1GB, and two sets of internal memory at 8 and 16GB. The Samsung Galaxt S4 Mini is equipped with a dual-core processor at 1.7 GHz with a RAM capacity of 1.5GB, and an internal memory of 8GB expandable up to 64GB.
The Samsung handset runs on the Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to v4.4.2 (KitKat), while the Moto G runs on the Android OS, v4.3 (Jelly Bean), upgradable to v5.0 (Lollipop).
The Galaxy S4 Mini has an impressive rear camera of 8MP, while its front shooter is at 1.9MP. The Moto G on the other hand, is equipped with a 5MP rear camera, and 1.3MP front camera.
