Paula Patton has moved on from the Robin Thicke saga as she joined Kate Hudson and other celebrities in honoring "The Butler" director Lee Daniels during the Uptown Pre-Oscar Gala in the Melrose Place on Thursday.
Kate Hudson looked sharp in a gray and white suit while Robin Thicke's ex, Paula Patton, "dazzled in a pink dress with an embroidered neckline," said Daily Mail.
Lee Daniels directed Paula Patton in the 2009 film, "Precious," which tells the story of Harlem teenager (Gabourey Sidibe) who's "overweight, abused, and illiterate." She's "pregnant with her second child is invited to enroll in an alternative school in hopes that her life can head in a new direction," the synopsis says.
Paula Patton said in a previous interview with Pop Sugar: "I think we've all judged a Precious. What this movie tells you is, don't judge, because you don't know their story. I think when we made this film we all had to admit our own racist feelings, our own prejudices, and deal with them head on."
She also dismissed the whole criticism about the Lee Daniels' film being depressing.
"I understand saying, 'I want to see it, but I don't want to see it right now, because I don't want to go there.' It's not like that," she said. "I say it's like buying a ticket to a roller coaster ride. You laugh, you cry, you scream, and at the end of the ride, you're left shaken, but with your heart more open. What's beautiful about this film is that it breeds love."
Paula Patton and Robin Thicke broke up last year after rumors of him cheating surfaced. The "Blurred Lines" singer tried wooing back the actress, and there were some photographs of them together with their son, but she filed for divorce in October 2014.
