Lady Gaga teased fans what she would look like as a bride of fiancé Taylor Kinney as looked just like a blushing bride during her Oscar performance.
The newly engaged pop star wore an Azzedine Alaïa gown as she performed a medley of Julie Andrews classics like "The Sound of Music," "My Favorite Things," "Edelweiss" and "Climb Every Mountain."
"On the red carpet, Lady Gaga donned another bridal-style frock from the Tunisian-born couturier," Daily Mail reported.
According to Lady Gaga, it took Azzedine Alaïa "1600 hrs of embroidery and 25 people in Paris, he's never before made a dress for the Oscars. What an honor!"
Later on, Julie Andrews then appeared on stage and thanked Gaga for the "wonderful tribute" which warmed her heart.
"It's hard to believe that 50 years have gone by since that glorious film was released. I blinked and suddenly here I am," she said. "I think that I do speak for everyone connected with the movie when I say we all really felt blessed to have been a part of it and as for me, well, how lucky can a girl get?"
If the performance looked effortless at all, it was because Lady Gaga practiced for six months.
"She worked half a year with a vocal coach every day for half a year to do that," Oscars co-showrunner Craig Zadan told Entertainment Tonight.
While Lady Gaga gave a rousing performance, her fiancé Taylor Kinney couldn't be there to support her because he had to film episodes for "Chicago Fire" over at NBC, the publication said.
Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney, who met in 2011 during the filming of her music video, got engaged on Valentine's Day, which the pop star announced on her Instagram: "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES! She also shared a photo of her heart-shaped ring."
