It looks like Square Enix will reveal new updates for the most anticipated "Final Fantasy" title, "Final Fantasy XV" regarding its development, new trailer, and release date.
According to VG 24/7, Final Fantasy director Hajime Tabata announced that "Final Fantasy XV" is 60 percent finished during an interview with IGN.
“It’s about 60% now. People may look at that and say ‘well, you’ve only done five more percent!’ [since 55% in September] but it’s actually a lot more complicated than that,” Tabata said to IGN. “I think we’re looking at a much faster development in the near future.
Hajime Tabata further adds, “In some ways I’m being very conservative in my estimates there and not wanting to put out too big a number. Developing big games on a large scale like this you have uneven development processes where some things are nearly done, and others are still at prototype stage."
VG27 reports that "Final Fantasy XV's" world is ten times the size in the Duscae episode, as the area shown in the "FFXV" demo will only be a part of the region.
Nova Crystallis reported before that Square Enix went into a partnership with Taiwanese based company XPEC during the Taipei Game Show 2015 event several weeks ago.
Hajime Tabata explained that the partnership with XPEC is necessary due the large scale of "Final Fantasy XV" and XPEC has the technology to finish the game's development as they will handle the second part of the project.
Square Enix also streamed a new trailer for "Final Fantasy XV" that features new environments, strange animals, and potential enemy beast.
The trailer sees the rich and impressive render of the environments from the mountains to its forest. Different types of animals are also featured in the trailer like eagles, geckos, and frogs, while set of strange creatures includes a black Chocobo bird, a dinosaur like elephant, a giant boar, and a crocodile-fish hybrid. Potential enemy monsters are also present in the game which includes goblins, wolves, behemoths etc. They usually hunt in packs and they are dangerous at night.
As for the release date of the game, retailing website Amazon.com tentatively placed "Final Fantasy XV" on n Dec.31, 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles though PlayStation Blog posted the official list of games that are present this year, and "Final Fantasy XV" is not included on the list.
Could this mean that "FFXV" will launch in 2016? "Final Fantasy" gamers and fans will just have wait for an announcement from Square Enix regarding its launch date.
The "FFXV" demo "Episode Duscaue" will be included in "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD" as the game will launch on March 19, 2015.
