The producers have cancelled the Abu Dhabi world premiere of "Fast and Furious 7" in March. This follows the report that one of the movie's leads, Vin Diesel, opted to stay with his partner who is due to give birth to their third child that month.

Vin Diesel, who is also a producer of "F7," has decided not to attend the splashy premiere in the city where parts of the movie was filmed, so that he can be by the side of Paloma Jimenez, who is expecting her third child with the actor.

Following this news, Universal Studios has reportedly decided to call of the premiere in the Emirates Palace.

"He wants to be with his family at the birth; it's a beautiful thing," a source told Hollywood Reporter. "What human being wouldn't?"

As of press time, a rep from Vin Diesel has not been reached to confirm if this is true. The source added the "Fast and Furious 7" opening will happen on April 1 in Los Angeles instead.

A studio source from Universal is accordingly "happy to premiere in L.A., birthplace of the franchise, where a core fan base exists."

Vin Diesel is known to be a very private person and keeps his personal affairs away from the public eye. He has never formally announced the birth of his first two children. In fact, the actor has only made one public appearance with Jimenez and their kids on Aug. 26, 2013, to receive his star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Vin Diesel is the face of the franchise. His character Dominic Torreto and Paul Walker's Brian O'Connor are the main focus of the "The Fast and The Furious" films. When Walker died in a tragic car in 2013, production for the seventh installment of the car-racing blockbuster was delayed. It also moved the release date from July 2014 to April 2015.

The first "Fast and the Furious" film was launched in 2001.

Aside from Vin Diesel, "The Fast and Furious 7" cast also features Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris.
