Previously, the "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" release date is rumored to be in either April or June though a leaked video was spotted at NeoGAF, which states that the release date of the game title is set to be on Sept. 1.
Publisher Konami had planned the official announcement of the game. A countdown timer can be seen in "Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain" official website, wherein, many game enthusiasts believed that this is related to the game title's official release date.
Although it's not yet official, Gamerant notes that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" Sept. 1 release is for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Meanwhile, after 27 years of franchise, the creator feels that the "Metal Gear Solid 5" will be the final "Metal Gear Solid" game title in the franchise.
"I always say this will be my last Metal Gear, but the games in the series that I've personally produced - Metal on MSX, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3, 4 and Peace Walker - and now Metal Gear Solid 5 constitute a single Metal Gear saga," said Hideo Kojima. "With Metal Gear Solid 5 I'm finally closing the loop on that saga. In that sense, this will be the final Metal Gear Solid. To me, this is the last Metal Gear."
