There were great ratings but it couldn't rid itself of the tedious formula that continued on. The catharsis that needs to come from the revenge process against a chaebol family was not shown either. As the plot continued to the end, the plot lost its tension and the ending of the chaebol family wasn't even shown until the last episode. Despite it all, the reason for its success is the great acting.
On Feb. 8th, MBC weekend drama "Legend of the Witch" (script Koo Hyun Sook, director Joo Sung Woo) ended with its 40th episode. As the drama is about four women each with a very unjust story, they went against the Shinhwa group and sought a very thorough revenge. With actress Han Ji Hye as a center with Ha Suk Jin, the drama was led by Ko Doo Shim, Jun In Hwa, Oh Hyun Kyung, Ha Yeon Soo, Lee Jong Won, Park Geun Hyung, Park In Hwan, and Byun Jung Soo as they showed great acting chemistry.
In the early part of the drama, "Legend of the Witch" shows Moon Soo In (played by Han Ji Hye) struggling with her husband Ma Do Hyun (played by Ko Joo Won)'s death. As she falls into the strategies of her in-laws, she goes to prion and gets intertwined in a bad relationship with the Shinwha group.
