This fall, the market will be flooded with new canons to fill the time gap between the "Return of the Jedi" way back in 1983 and "The Force Awakens," according to the latest "Star Wars Episode 7" news and rumors.
In a report from Entertainment Weekly, there will be 20 new books, "from novels for adults and teens to storybooks and stickerbooks for younger kids" to fill in the blanks.
"Those hoping to find out what Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo have been up to for the past three decades will find it first on the page, with Disney Publishing Worldwide and Lucasfilm confirming that the titles will be filled with Easter eggs foreshadowing events in J.J. Abrams' Dec. 18 movie," the report said.
In other "Star Wars Episode 7" news, Apple devices can play with Topps "Star Wars" cards by downloading the app, Star Wars: Card Trader for iOS.
Although the older generation who played with the classic Topps trading cards will find their favorite characters from George Lucas' universe, the app will also feature characters from "Star Wars Episode 7."
"BB-8, Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren, Rey and other recently announced new characters from 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' are here! Go to the Cantina and blast open packs to try to find these exciting new cards, all released in vintage-inspired "Star Wars '77" blue and red border designs," it said.
Andrew Sugerman addressed the "Star Wars Episode 7" news and rumors when he said that the plot of "The Force Awakens "is an extraordinarily, heavily guarded storyline."
To track it, a lot of top-secret meetings were happening up in San Francisco as we worked through this program," he said.
Previously, it was rumored that director JJ Abrams wanted to push a summer release, instead of December 2015, for "Star Wars Episode 7" allegedly because the leaks and spoilers will destroy the movie for fans.
