The U.K.-based jeweler Goldgenie revealed that they will begin taking pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galasy S6 Edge, the GSM Arena reported.

The publication wrote that the Goldgenie will start taking pre-orders on March 20. The Korean giant's new smartphones will be available in 24k gold, platinum and rose gold.

On Goldgenie's official website, the U.K.-based jeweler price for Samsung Galaxy S6 dressed in 24k gold is at £1,664 roughly $2,457. The pre-order service will end on April 7 and the company will begin shipping the smartphones in two to three weeks after the retail launch on April 10.

The customers who want to first secure a device from this collection are invited to place a 50 percent deposit on their chose device, with the balance payable soon after.

According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 that translates into 577ppi. The device has a Corning Gorilla Glass and TouchWiz UI.

Other specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S6 include an Exynos 7420 processor with a CPU of quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 and quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53. It has a Mali-T670 GPU with 3 GB of RAM and storage variants of 32, 64 and 128GB respectively.

In terms of the camera, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has a 5MP front-facing camera with features such as dual video call auto HDR with 120 wide angle lens that can let user to capture an image with exceptional clarity. The handset has a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, optical image stabilization, autofocus, Geo tagging, panorama, face detection and auto real-time HDR

The Samsung Galaxy S6 runs on Android v5.0.2 Lollipop operating system with a 2,550 mAh battery that has a built-in industry-standard wireless charging capabilities. It has an ultra power saving mode that let users continue using the device to make calls and text even when the battery is down to only 10 percent.
