Jeremy Lin and coach Byron Scott are apparently not communicating directly about what they expect from each other. Meanwhile, there's a bit of silver lining for Linsanity as he's expected to start the remaining 10 games of the season.

In a piece by Mark Medina for LA Daily News, Jeremy Lin said that he hasn't talked to Byron Scott about his turnovers.

"He hasn't given me feedback on what he wants me to do to be better," Linsanity said of his coach.

Since the All-Star break, Jeremy Lin actually is one of the top point guards in terms of assist-to-turnover ratio, making a mistake just 1.73 times a game. But he credited his trainer for showing him films on where he typically turns the ball over.

He also said that he won't depart from his Linsanity identity-which is the high-risk-high-reward play-going forward even if the coach wants him to rein in and make the "obvious play."

"I can sit there and play safe and not have any turnovers. But that means I won't be myself as a player. I won't be making plays that I make. I drive to the rim and to the basket really hard and put my head down," he said. "The majority of the time, I feel like something good will happen. But there will be times it won't. To some degree, you have to live with some of those risks."

Meanwhile, coach Byron Scott acknowledged that Jeremy Lin has been showing glimpses of Linsanity in the past few games that he earned the spot in the starting five for the remaining Los Angeles Lakers games.

"I want to see how much of a difference it is now as opposed to the start of the season," the coach said of Jeremy Lin. "He knows the offense better and he knows what I need from him every single night on both ends of the floor. Now to see him in a starting role, it would be a little bit of a change. He was thinking so much back earlier in the season. Right now, he's just playing."
