Selena Gomez says her new album will contain "darkness," fueling speculations that her new music will have a song about her ex, Justin Bieber.
Selena Gomez recently confirmed that her new music will enclose some "darkness," which the songstress has promised will document the last two years since she released, "Star Dance." Selena broke up with her long time on/off boyfriend Justin Bieber and started dating DJ Zedd during the same time.
HollywoodLife noted that the 22-year-old "Kiss Kiss" singer is all set to take her music in a "dark" direction. Is she hinting that her new music will contain a song about her ex, Justin Bieber? We will need to wait and watch.
Since Selena has not released any music in two years, her new album is going to be like she showing her journey in the past two years. Plus, there's a little darkness in her next album, the singer told Women's Wear Daily while attending the Louis Vuitton Fall 2015 Fashion Show in Paris on March 11.
Selena's last single was the emotional ballad "The heart wants what it wants," however she recently contributed vocals to her beau's new single "I want you to know," sparking praise from DJ Zedd.
Talking about how the collaboration happened, ContactMusic noted that the 25-year-old DJ had been working on this little idea with Ryan Tedder a few months ago and he randomly met Selena.
''I ran into her and she came into my studio," Zedd said. He reportedly played all the music that he had and Selena played some of the stuff she has been working on. The two realized that there were songs that they could do together with "I want you to know" being the main focus for both of them.
Although the upbeat and positive love balled reflects Selena's happiness and the much needed change that her relationship with Zedd brought, when she returns to the last two years of her life, things are expected to get dark.
Sources told HollywoodLife that Selena has pleaded with Zedd to not watch the Justin Bieber Roast when it airs on March 30. Apparently, she doesn't want Zedd to get so upset over the mean jokes made at her expense that he'd go punch something.
