Actress Park Shin Hye thanks fans for supporting her new movie.
On February 12th, the actress uploaded a picture of herself and wrote, “'Miracle in Cell #7' surpassed the 7 million mark. I prayed that the movie gave warmth to people. Thank you.”
In the picture that was taken at the set of the movie, the actress is looking at the sky with soft eyes and a hopeful smile while little snow flakes fall around her.
According to the distribution company, the movie sold a total of 7,000,686 tickets as of the morning of February 12th.
"Miracle in Cell #7" that was released on January 23rd, is the highest grossing movie of 2013 at the Korean box office so far.
The movie is about a man ( Ryu Seung Yong) who is mentally disable and is accused of a murder he didn't commit. His only wish is to see his beloved daughter but can't since the prison has a no-visits rule; his cell mates, touched by his story, come up with the ultimate plan to sneak the girl in. When the girl grows up (Park Shin Hye), she becomes a lawyer and fights for her dad's innocence.
