Beyonce gave a sweet anniversary gift to husband Jay Z with her new song, "Die With You."
Queen Bey dropped the track on Jay Z's music program, Tidal. The rapper appeared to be filming the video of Beyonce playing the piano and just singing her heart out.
The lyrics of "Die With You" seemed very personal as she sings:
I don't have a reason to cry
And I have every reason to smile
I don't have a reason to lie
When you're already reading my mind
And I don't have a reason to be, if I can't be with you
And I don't need air in my lungs, if I can't sing your song
No, I don't need hands if I don't get to keep you warm
And I don't really need myself, if I don't need you
The hook reads,
Cause darling I wake up just to sleep with you
I open my eyes so I could see with you
And I live so I can die with you.
"Beyonce's flawless vocals were on full display as she poured her heart out to her husband in the form of a song," Hollywood Life said.
"It's a very simple, raw video. Beyonce sits at the piano and plays her heart out. Jay Z was the one filming the video, and he shows his face for a split second at the end. Aw! She literally sang the song to him!" the website said.
Beyonce and Jay Z survived the nasty rumors that persisted last year about their impending divorce.
The split rumors between Jay Z and Beyonce started to crop up after Solange attacked the music mogul inside an elevator following the Met Gala in May last year.
"A source told E! News at the time the scuffle was a result of Jay's allegedly inappropriate flirting with Rachel Roy, but Beyoncé issued a statement shortly afterwards insisting they had "moved forward as a united family," the report alleged.
