Gong Hyo Jin is one of k-drama's favorite rom-com queens and she's had a run of attractive talented leading men, including recent co-stars So Ji Sub, Cha Seung Won and Jo In Sung. But just who is her "Producers" leading man Cha Tae Hyun?

If you're new to k-drama, you may not know this talented actor but he has some impressive acting credits and he's worked with some noteworthy co-stars of his own. He may be best known for his role in the 2001 comedy film "My Sassy Girl," which he co-starred in with Jun Ji Hyun. In that film he played a man who meets a quirky drunk girl on a train and gets involved in her life. The film not only made him a Hallyu star, but the film's box office success inspired a remake in the U.S. with Elisha Cuthbert and Jesse Bradford.

Cha Tae Hyun can also brag about his list of leading ladies. In two of his early films he starred with Son Ye Jin in "Lover's Concert," and Song Hye Kyo in "My Girl and I."

It has been more than 20 years since Cha Tae Hyun made his debut. His career has included films, dramas, and multiple appearances on variety shows, as both a guest and a cast member. He's also hosted a radio show.

And although the actor has had a few less than successful roles over the years, he shows no signs of slowing down. In 2014, he had cameos in "Tazza: The Hidden Card" and "The Technicians." He also starred in the film "Slow Video," a film that focuses on a man who saw the world in slow motion.

This year he is planning on filming "My New Sassy Girl," playing a character that cannot forget the sassy girl in his past.

In "Producers" he will play Ra Joon Mo, a veteran producer in the entertainment division of a broadcast station. Kim Jong Kook will make his small screen debut as another producer in that drama, no doubt attracted to the role because he and Cha Tae Hyun are longtime friends.

Cha Tae Hyun's other co-stars include Kim Soo Hyun, who also famously co-starred with Jun Ji Hyun in "You Who Came From The Stars" and singer-actress IU. Gong Hyo and Kim Soo Hyun also play producers in the entertainment division, while IU plays a famous singer.

The drama will air in May.
