Taylor Swift and Lorde took to their respective Twitter accounts to slam reports they are feuding.
The "Blank Space" singer tweeted, "Media, when you say "Lorde & Taylor are fighting"-by fighting do you mean "FaceTiming constantly from US to NZ and LOLing at you"? Thnx bye."
The post was retweeted 36,152 times as of this writing.
Lorde also weighed in on the Taylor Swift feud rumor as she tweeted, "sisters are doin' it for themselves @taylorswift13."
The Taylor Swift and Lorde feud was first reported by OK! Magazine, which claimed that the "Royals" hitmaker refused to collaborate with Calvin Harris' rumored girlfriend.
According to the recent edition of the magazine, which comes out on April 13, "Lorde may join Taylor Swift for sleepovers and shopping sprees, but don't expect the pop superstar to invite her blond bestie in to the recording studio any time soon."
In the report, Taylor Swift reportedly suggested to Lorde that they do a duet together, similar to laday Gaga and Tony Bennett.
"Lorde loves Taylor but she thinks that their voices have completely different sounds and they won't mesh well together. Taylor was pretty disappointed with her reaction," a source told OK!
US Weekly magazine noted that a feud between Taylor Swift and Lorde would be unlikely since they are virtually "inseparable" when "they're in the same time zone."
"They've enjoyed time at Swift's Rhode Island mansion, a vacation on Catalina Island, and hikes together in Los Angeles," it said.
Lorde doesn't seem to have any problem collaborating with her friend Taylor Swift, as she told Capital FM when asked of the possibility of doing a song together.
"Yeah we are [different] but I think the cool thing about Taylor is she is pretty willing to go a lot of places with music," she said. "I think that last record [Red] in particular, everyone was like 'Woah.' And I think with an artist like her, the sky is the limit."
