Bungie weekly update

Bungie has announced House of Wolves for Destiny will not have a Raid activity as they are creating a new Raid for a release in 2015.

Bungie revealed the release date of the much-anticipated House of Wolves expansion but, sadly, it won't feature a Raid activity. For undisclosed reasons, the developer is not including the fan favorite team-based activity in Destiny's new DLC add-on.

A message on the Bungie's site reads, "House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity." However, Bungie claims it didn't take this decision lightly.

Apparently, the team has set up a firm timeline of planned events in order to make up for the missing game type. Bungie is creating a new Raid for a release later this year, GameSpot noted.

This is contrary to what the House of Wolves leaks earlier this week from multiple sources described. According to the leaks, Destiny would include a new Raid and based on past experiences, it was even speculated that it might be priced at $9.99 or so.

That said, Destiny will reportedly have a cooperative battle arena dubbed "Prison of Elders" that will focus on "variety, replayability, and skill."

While additional information on the other features for the "The Prison of Elders" and "House of Wolves" are slated to be released in the coming weeks, Bungie announced it is currently planning a calendar of events for the next House of Wolves news.
