"The Good Wife" is expected to be be renewed for season 7 and along with it a new cast. Is she Kalinda's replacement?
According to the news and spoilers from Deadline, Cush Jumbo was reportedly added to the cast of "The Good Wife" on a recurring role.
"This will mark Jumbo's American TV debut, though she's already familiar to UK audiences playing opposite Brenda Blethyn in the ITV Studios detective series Vera. She also was seen on the big screen opposite Tom Sturridge in 'Remainder,'" it said.
Cush Jumbo has a lot of experience as she starred with Hugh Jackman on Broadway for "The River." She also had a solo show "Josephine and I," which received critical praise, and will next be seen in "City of Tiny Lights," directed by Pete Travis.
News and spoilers from E! News said that there are no details released yet on the role to be played by Cush Jumbo in "The Good Wife."
"But it's no secret that 'The Good Wife' will be down an investigator next year after Archie Panjabi and her character Kalinda Sharma leave the show," the article said. "Unless the show goes totally soap opera and Kalinda doesn't leave, she's just in a horrible accident and comes out looking like Cush Jumbo?! We're kidding...obviously?"
Then there's the fact that Robyn has not been seen for majority of the season.
E! news also teased "The Good Wife" spoilers and news as it said that Alicia has won state attorney but has to give up the position when the Democratic Party forces her hand "in order to protect a state senate election that involved voter fraud."
Juliana Margulies told the website, "I think she'll find the good in it and she'll probably fight twice as hard. But I can guarantee you, it's going to cause conflict in the courtroom."
