Good news for video game players: developer Vicious Cycle is set to release a new game based on animated TV show "Adventure Time."
Cartoon Network is reportedly heading to a different direction with its forthcoming "Adventure Time" game, collaborating once again with independent developer Little Orbit for a story-driven 3D adventure that transforms Jake and Finn into detectives.
On Tuesday, April 21, Cartoon Network and Little Orbit announced a brand new game based on the popular animated TV show, "Adventure Time.
The TV series follows the adventures of Finn, a human boy, and his adoptive brother and best friend, Jake, a dog that possesses magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. Finn is voiced by Jeremy Shada, and Jake is voiced by John DiMaggio.
The game, titled "Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations," is under development at Little Orbit's development studio Vicious Cycle, (developers of Ben 10: Omniverse), according to GameSpot.
Unlike the recent "Adventure Time" games, such as 2013's "Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW" and 2014's "Secret of the Nameless Kingdom," which were played from a top-down perspective, the new Finn and Jake Investigations is reportedly a full 3D game that guarantees action along with a variety of locations to explore and mind-bending puzzles.
Little Orbit chief executive Matt Scott described the game as a departure from other "Adventure Time" games.
In a press release, Little Orbit wrote that this should all come together to make the players feel like they have stepped in to their own personal episode of "Adventure Time."
According to Scott, the developers created an exciting classic adventure game set in a highly-detailed 3D Land of Ooo, where players can check out Land of Ooo locales, talk to characters, make their creative puzzle-solving skill sharp, beat bad guys while having fun, TechnoBuffalo noted.
"Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations" will launch in November for the latest home consoles like PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 36, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.
