Rare is all set to announce its next game at E3 2015 and this time, it's not a Kinect game.

Despite the fact that Rare or Microsoft has not announced a reveal, the news has slipped out anyway.

According to IGN, a NeoGAF user spotted a conversation on Rare Creative Director Simon Woodroffe's Twitter feed in which he reportedly confirmed that Gregg Mayles' new project is set to be unveiled at E3 2015.

Mayle, a designer at Rare, has worked on the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Viva Pinata, and Banjo-Tooie over the years.

When asked if the new game would be based on an original intellectual property (IP) or an existing one, Woodroffe tweeted,"All I can give here is a quote from the man himself, 'This is more fun than anything we've ever done."

Having put out three Kinect Sports titles since 2010, Rare has been mostly defined by Kinect titles for the past few years.

However, before its entry into motion-control gaming, the famous British developer served up critically acclaimed titles such as "Conker's Bad Fur Day," "Perfect Dark," "Banjo-Kazooie," and "GoldenEye."

With the Kinect effectively finished, it's going to really exciting to see what Rare has to offer now, and it looks like the developer has a big reveal slated for E3 2015, GameRant noted.

Robin Beanland, composer and sound designer for Rare Ltd., teased that 2015 would be a big year for the company. Also further fueling speculations about Rare's upcoming project, Xbox Boss Phil Spencer donned a Battletoads t-shirt on stage at Windows 10 Live Event.

In related news, Playtonic Games, a new studio formed by several Rare veterans, recently unveiled their new project dubbed Yooka-Laylee, which is in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign currently.

With only a little over a month away, E3 2015 guarantees fans their first looks at some of the most-awaited video games in development.
