While many speculated that Minecraft developer, Mojang, would lose its interest and zeal after being acquired by Microsoft and losing founder "Notch," it looks like Mojang is still having fun with its Minecraft fans!
It's no secret that nobody likes being locked out of a game. A game might stop accepting the password for the account abruptly, or the player may not be able to recall the answer given for the security question years ago. Whatever the reason, game lockouts can lead to some serious frenzy.
A few years ago, Reddit user Jessemoforice created a Minecraft account and called it a name that symbolized his anger since he was unable to log into his account. He's still using that name. Minecraft developer Mojang came across his account name while investigating a harassment issue. When Jessemoforice logged into his account, he noted that his name has been changed, according to reports on VG2/47.
The Swedish video game developer changed his name to "NoWeDont" (Look in the bottom right).
Minecraft developer Marc Watson interpreted how it happened on Reddit Minecraft community.
Watson explained that he was looking for names with offensive words citing an unrelated report of harassment. Generally, the server handles all moderation but this time it was a parent and a kid. Watson noted that he did not find the username they reported, nor could they recall the correct spelling, but he did come across this gem of a username.
Jessemoforice thought this was hilarious and didn't even mind the move by Mojang to change his username as he admitted he really enjoys Minecraft a lot.
Mojang has taken pride in its sense of humor as the developer continues to sneak jokes and jabs into updates. In addition, Mojang regularly tweets funny solutions to customer's solutions. For instance, when a user boasted about bypassing Mojang's name swear filter, as a result of which, the Mojang rep changed the user's name into FluffyBunny 5, Game Rant noted.
