Dakota Johnson just reunited with Matthew Hitt after a brief split and they looked happier than ever while strolling around New York. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress showed off her fashion flair by wearing red Converse sneakers.

The two lovebirds were giggling at something as they took a walk in the Big Apple.

"Dakota oozed laid-back elegance in a brown fedora, dark sunglasses, and bright red lipstick that contrasted with her porcelain skin," said Daily Mail. "She sported a blue knit sweater and black skinny jeans, and kept her feet comfortable in red Converse sneakers."

The 28-year-old rocker, meanwhile, wore tight jeans, black boots, and black denim jacket over a black plain tee.

Dakota Johnson and boyfriend Matthew Hitt have reportedly split because he allegedly couldn't deal with all the craziness surrounding "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"Her life was getting too crazy and it wasn't something that he wanted to be a part of," the source told Us Weekly.

In April, Daily Mail published photos of Dakota Johnson and Matthew Hitt as she was walking her dog in New York.

"It appeared the two took pains not to be seen too close together during their stroll," said Daily Mail.

According to the magazine, the split was probably for the best considering that Dakota Johnson's packed schedule just doesn't leave enough room for a stable relationship. The article also claimed that the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith is "casually seeing a few people."

Dakota Johnson herself shared the same fears by Matthew Hitt about fame brought by the "Fifty Shades of Grey" will turn her world upside down.

"I think about my dwindling anonymity and that's really scary because a very large part of me would be perfectly happy living on a ranch in Colorado and having babies and chickens and horses-which I will do anyway," she told Vogue magazine.
