Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner managed to buck the trend of short-term marriages in Hollywood after being together for a decade now. The "Batman V Superman" actor and "Dallas Buyers Club" actress did it by making sure they, along with their kids, stay grounded despite all the fame and success.
In an interview for Yahoo Parenting, Jennifer Garner talked about instilling good values to her kids with Ben Affleck-namely, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3-despite all the pressures of Hollywood.
She said for so long their kids have been hounded by the paparazzi, although that problem seemed to have abated with Senate Bill 606 or the Paparazzi Bill, which seeks to protect the children of celebrities by prohibiting their photos from being published without the consent of parents.
"The hardest part is other kids talking to my children when we aren't around," she said. "Like, 'It's so cool your dad's being Batman' and trying to control how much that inflates the idea that one person is more important than another."
Jennifer Garner also credited the "Batman V Superman" actor Ben Affleck for helping her explain to their kids about what they do and how it makes people "react a certain way to us.
"It doesn't mean we're more important than anyone else. And [the kids] are pretty quick to cut us back down to size," she added.
Despite being married since 2005, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are not immune to divorce rumors that hound most Hollywood couples.
In a new article from Radar Online, Jennifer Garner has allegedly "Batman V Superman" actor Ben Affleck and their kids while she's filming in Montreal, Canada for "Nine Lives."
"According to an insider, however, that arrangement will only last until school gets out for the summer. Then, the kids will travel to Canada to be with their mom - likely without Affleck, 42," it added.
