"New Girl" actor Max Greenfield is checking into the hotel, according to the latest spoilers and news for "American Horror Story" season 5. Meanwhile, Jessica Lange-who's reported to be bowing of the latest installment in the franchise-reunites with Ryan Murphy for a Broadway show.
Ryan Murphy broke the news about Max Greenfield's casting on his Twitter account, where he also teased spoilers when he hinted that the 34-year-old actor might not survive "American Horror Story" season 5.
The "Glee" creator wrote, "This October, Max Greenfield (like you've never seen him) is checking in to the hotel....but not checking out. #AHSHotel"
Moviefone said the news from Ryan Murphy is the most "info than we've gotten about any of the other 'Hotel' characters so far (especially that bit that not-so-subtly suggests he's a goner), and certainly has us intrigued."
"While we'll hate to see our beloved Schmidt succumb to evil -- and be done in by the titular establishment -- we'd watch him in anything, and can't wait to see what Murphy and co. have up their sleeves for the quick-witted actor," the article added.
Meanwhile, Jessica Lange and Ryan Murphy will team up to bring Eugene O'Neill's "Long Day's Journey Into Night" into the stage.
"The actress is familiar with the role of Mary Tyrone, a morphine-addicted matriarch that's loosely based on O'Neill's own mother," Daily Mail noted. "She won the prestigious Olivier Award for her performance in the role in a production in London's West End in 2000."
News outlets, however, have not confirmed whether the 66-year-old actress and two-time Oscar winner will join the cast of "American Horror Story: Hotel." She previously said that she wanted a break because filming a TV series can take months and she wanted to spend more time with her family.
Watch out for more "American Horror Story" season 5 news and spoilers which will be published here when they come along. The series will kick off in October this year.
