Archie Panjabi broke his silence over the controversial scene on "The Good Wife" where her character was superimposed in the farewell conversation with Julianna Margulies' character, Alicia.
Interviewed by E! News, Archie Panjabi, however, tried to wash her hands off the controversy even as she hinted that Kalinda's last scene with Alicia on "The Good Wife" was indeed computer-generated.
"All I can say is this: the decision making process is not something I'm privy to," she said.
Although Archie Panjabi confessed that it's difficult to say goodbye to her character, Kalinda, after two years, she shot down any speculation of a comeback.
"I don't think so. She came in as a mystery and left as a mystery."
According to TVLine, despite the touching goodbye which provides closure to the relationship between Alicia and Kalinda, the two actresses didn't shoot the scene together.
"Body doubles were employed for the single shots, and the two-shot was spliced together in post-production," Michael Ausiello wrote in the article.
"It was one scene. We all work with people we don't like. (Think about the poor souls who had to act opposite a certain CSI: Miami actor for the better part of a decade.) But you grin, bear it and get the job done. That's what needed to happen here," he added.
The Daily Star has claimed that Julianna Marguiles was ecstatic with Archie Panjabi leaving "The Good Wife."
"There had been tension between them ever since Archie won an Emmy before Julianna did. Alicia may miss Kalinda, but Julianna sure wasn't sad to see her go," a source told the tabloid.
But Archie Panjabi's leaving "The Good Wife" because of her feud with Julianna Margulies ended up as a blessing in disguise after scoring a lead role in a new series for another network.
"Archie is so talented, it's no surprise that she immediately got a pilot deal with FOX," the source added.
