Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong have kind-hearted fans.
On March 13th, it revealed that the star's Japanese fans are doing good deeds on his name, like many fan clubs do.
The fans donated 11,493,145 Won (About $10,400 USD) to a scholarship fund which was created under the singer's name.
In 2010, the star's Korean fan club “Powerful S” opened the “Kim Hyun Joong Scholarship” that helps college students.
This is a common trend with fan clubs in Korea and Japan. Usually that certain artist's fan club donate money or rice packs, whenever that artist have a big project, concert, or when is the artist's birthday.
Sometimes, the artist will go out and help out his/her own fans doing charity work, to different poor parts of Korea.
The “Kim Hyun Joong Scholarship” have help about 14 college students since 2010 when it was opened. The fund has collected around 200 million won.
An official stated, “This donation shows the harmonious collaboration between Korean and Japanese fans of Kim Hyun Joong.”
Meanwhile, the start rocked Brazil and caused much commotion in Peru last month, where he held fan meetings and concerts.
