On June 5, the record-breaking web drama "EXO Next Door" will premiere to audiences in North America through DramaFever. The series, which previously aired throughout Asia on LINE, IQIYI and Naver's TV Cast, was seen by 50 million viewers. "EXO Next Door" premiered on April 9, coinciding with the release of their album, "Exodus."
The 16-episode series stars Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Sehun and D.O as idol group members who move into a residential neighborhood. The other members of the group also make guest appearances throughout the series.
Moon Ga Young (Salut d'Amour) portrays Yeon Hee, a quirky girl who is a huge fan of the group. She makes several missteps upon meeting the group but is able to form meaningful relationships with the guys. As the story progresses, Yeon Hee is thrust into a love triangle with Chanyeol and D.O, which provides additional entertainment.
The web series was written and produced by the Oh Boy Project, the same group that was responsible for "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" and "Flower Boy Next Door." Their unique brand of humor leaves an impression on each episode.
EXO has become increasingly involved in acting, with D.O and Chanyeol successfully transitioning into the craft. In 2014, D.O received positive attention for his portrayal for Han Kang Woo in the hit psychological drama, "It's Okay, That's Love." He also appeared in the film, "Cart." Chanyeol starred in the family comedy, "Salut d'Amour."
