In a battle between a pop prince and POTUS, who would win in a basketball match? Washington Wizards superstar guard John Wall believes that Justin Bieber would kick Barack Obama's bum in the basketball court.
A cameraman for TMZ caught up with the 6-3 point guard and asked for his opinion since he played with both Barack Obama and Justin Bieber in different ocassions.
"Who's better at basketball?" the cameraman asked.
"Beiber. Beiber is pretty good," he said.
Incredulous, the cameraman repeated, "Bieber would beat Barack one-on-one?"
"Yeah, Bieber is pretty good," John Wall said.
The Washington Wizards guard also said that Barack Obama has a weird looking jump shot but it gets the job done.
However, John Wall added that he never played one-on-one with the President of the United States and he only joined him for a shootaround.
Eric Freeman of Ball Don't Lie commented that Justin Bieber should win against Barack Obama in one-on-one basketball.
"For one thing, he's 21 years old to Obama's 53. A young person is much more likely to be able to withstand the rigors of nonstop one-on-one action than a middle-aged man who deals with incalculable stress on a daily basis," he wrote.
To be fair, however, Barack Obama is listed as 6'1" to Justin Bieber's 5'9" and in the game of basketball, height is still might.
Also, Barack Obama played junior and senior varsity and a member of the Punahou basketball team that grabbed the State Championship back in 1979 in Hawaii.
"Really, the only reasons to pick Obama over Bieber have more to do with comportment than actual basketball talent. Obama is a respected figure in a position of pure substance - on the other hand, Bieber is a divisive, immature kid who once wore overalls to meet the Canadian prime minister," said Freeman.
