Did Michael Fassbender's girlfriend Alicia Vikander dump him in favor of Matt Damon?
It did happen but only for the movies.
According to Deadline, Alicia Vikander has dumped Michael Fassbender's "Assassins' Creed" in favor of Matt Damon's "Jason Bourne."
"The Swedish star, currently the equivalent of a cinematic supernova following a starmaking turn in Alex Garland's sleeper hit Ex Machina, could not get her schedule to accommodate both projects," the article said.
In "Jason Bourne," Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass, who's also writing the script, will again team up to bring the superspy's exploits on the screen. The film will be produced by Frank Marshall and Jeffrey Weiner.
Michael Fassbender's girlfriend Alicia Vikander will also be seen in "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," "The Danish Girl," "Tulip Fever," "Adam Jones."
While Alicia Vikander dumped Michael Fassbender for "Assassins' Creed," they will be working together on "The Light Between Oceans."
Based on M. L. Stedman's novel of the same title, the film tells the story of lighthouse keeper Tom Sherbourne (Michael Fassbender) and wife Isabel (Alicia Vikander) off the coast in Australia.
"To this isolated island, where the supply boat comes once a season, Tom brings a young, bold, and loving wife, Isabel. Years later, after two miscarriages and one stillbirth, the grieving Isabel hears a baby's cries on the wind. A boat has washed up onshore carrying a dead man and a living baby," the description reads.
"Tom, who keeps meticulous records and whose moral principles have withstood a horrific war, wants to report the man and infant immediately. But Isabel insists the baby is a 'gift from God,' and against Tom's judgment, they claim her as their own and name her Lucy. When she is two, Tom and Isabel return to the mainland and are reminded that there are other people in the world. Their choice has devastated one of them," it added.
