In the new series, Rookie Watch, Kdramastars likes to profile young actors who have made an impression and seem bound for bigger things. One of those actors to watch is Kim Kwon.

Kim Kwon has a small role in the 2013 film "Mai Ratima," but the first time many viewers noticed him was when he played Kim Hye Eun's secret young lover in "Secret Lover Affair." His character was brazen about using the wealthy older woman for what he could get.

After that he had a few small roles in films and drama but nothing really noteworthy until he played the righteous young lawyer Yoon Je Hoon in the black comedy "Heard It Through The Grapevine." He was the lawyer that dated Gong Seung Yeon's character Seo Noo Ri. She was the sister of the character played by Go Ah Sung, a poor girl who married into the stifling, wealthy Han family. And although Yoon Je Hoon came from an elite background, he helped bring down the Han's powerful legal empire and expose the secrets of their patriarch Yoo Jung Sang.

The fact that the actor could pull off playing a young gigolo and then an idealistic lawyer attracted attention.

Next the 26-year-old actor can be seen in "Cheo Yong: The Paranormal Detective, Season 2" with Oh Ji Ho, Hyosung, Ha Yun Joo, Yoo Sung Mok, Joo Jin Mo and Yun Je Wook. 'Cheo Young: The Paranormal Detective: Season 2" is a mystery about a detective named Yoon Cheo Yong, played by Oh Ji Ho, who solves cases that are associated with ghost stories.

Hyosung will play a high school student ghost and Ha Yun Joo is Cheo Yong's latest partner. Some members of the first season's crime team are returning but there are also new members and Kim Kwon is one of them. He is the youngest member on the investigative team. His character Park Tae Kyuk is described as handsome and witty. Yun Je Wook and Yoo Sung Mok, who appeared in the first season of the drama, are returning to revise their roles.

"Cheo Yong: The Paranormal Detective, Season 2" will air in August.
