In any divorce, it's the kids who will always suffer and this is just what Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner had in mind as they took their three children on a holiday in Bahamas for a bonding time with daddy and mommy.

An insider told Page Six that the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor and the "Danny Collins" actress felt it was important to "spend quiet time with the kids."

"They have been spending a lot of time with the kids. This has been hard for everyone, but they are both doing everything to put the kids first," the source said. "Ben and Jen are just worried about how the kids will adjust. That's why they went away together."

The couple has three children together, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.

Jennifer Garner was supposedly in "good spirits" during their vacation to the Bahamas while Ben Affleck appeared to be gloomy.

In a statement published on Daily Mail, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner said, "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce."

"We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding," it added.

There are reports, however, that the reason for the divorce was because Ben Affleck has been growing close again with ex-beau, Jennifer Lopez but Page Six was quick to shot down the rumor.

A source explained, "There is no closeness between Ben and Jennifer Lopez. They bumped into each other at an Oscars event earlier this year and said hello, but that was it. The end of his marriage has nothing to do with J.Lo. This is just a rumor that some people want to be true."
