According to the Korean media outlet OSEN, JYJ singer and actor Kim Jae Joong has taken a few days leave from military duty to catch up with friends and family. During his leave from July 6 to July 10, he had a chance to meet with his fellow JYJ members Kim Junsu and Park Yoo Chun.

The friends and band mates took the occasion to catch up, as they had not seen each other in a few months. Shortly after Kim Jae Joong enlisted in March, all leaves were cancelled for military personnel due to concerns about the MERS outbreak. Leaves have been resumed as the MERS scare subsided.

They may have compared notes on military service since Park only has a few weeks to go before his enlistment date in August. Junsu will be the last to enlist. Baek Chang Gu, the CEO of C-JeS Entertainment, released a statement on June 14 saying that Kim Junsu would enlist next year.

Despite recent photos that showed Kim Jae Joong looking tired, the anonymous sources quoted in OSEN said that he looked healthier than ever, which implied that he was doing well in the military.

Kim Jae Joong, who last appeared in the dramas "Spy" and "Triangle," is currently serving as a military musician and will finish serving his mandatory two-year military duty on Dec. 30, 2016.

At a March press conference for his recent single "Flower," Kim Junsu spoke about Kim Jae Joong's military service. While he was sad to see his friend leave, he stressed that it was the duty of Jae Joong and every Korean male to serve in the military.

"Rather than expressing disappointment, going to the army is something you definitely have to do if you're a male citizen of Korea," said Junsu. "It just hits closer to home because Jae Joong is the first among our members to go to the military. This is something we have continued to prepare for. I want to tell him, 'fighting.' All men have to go so I just hope he returns safely, without getting hurt."

So do his fans.
