Lee Hyun Woo recently finished his role as the novelist prince in "The Scholar Who Walks The Night." He was not seen in the drama for very long because a vampire killed his character. In the film "Northern Line Limits," he plays Medic Park Dong Hyuk. The film, which tells the story of the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong," has been breaking box office records.

With those two roles neatly behind him, it was time for the 22-year-old actor to choose his next project. He is currently considering playing a singer in an upcoming KBS Monday-Tuesday drama titled "Martial Arts School."

If he takes the role he will play Yon Shi Woo, a singing star whose career tanks. When he loses all hope of making a singing comeback, he decides to enroll at a martial arts school.

In real life, Lee's career never faltered. He has landed roles since he was 11and first appeared in the KBS program "Oolla Boolla Blue-jjang." He became famous for playing roles in historical dramas such as "King Sejong The Great," The Return of Iljimae" and "Queen Seonduk." But he has not appeared on the small screen since he starred in the drama "To The Beautiful You."

The actor also appeared in the films "The Con Artists" with Kim Woo Bin and "Secretly, Greatly." This year he was one of several actors who played the same character in the film "Beauty Inside."

One thing the actor has not done so far is star in a romantic comedy and he's looking forward to that.

In a January interview with the Korean media outlet Newsen earlier this year, he said he spoke about his desire to do something light and sweet.

"Of course, I want to do romance. I want to try out an innocent and fresh love story," said Lee. "I don′t care if I work with someone older or younger than me. I′m curious as to how it would be to work with actresses."

The drama "Martial Arts School" will be an international production, casting actors in Korea, China and Thailand. It is expected to air in January 2016.
