Selena Gomez is reportedly the latest addition to Gwen Stefani's team on "The Voice" season 9.

According to People, the "Love Song" singer will serve as an advisor to the aspiring music artists under Gwen Stefani's wings on the reality TV talent search.

With Selena Gomez and Gwen Stefani both being successful female music artists in their own rights, is there a possibility that the two are not getting along very well? Is Gwen's rock background and Selena's pop orientation clashing, possibly confusing their team on "The Voice" season 9?

Quite the opposite. According to the No Doubt singer, she definitely respects the former Disney star for her dedication to the craft, starting at such a young age.

"It's just incredible to me to think of somebody that's been doing it since they were a child, like it's hard to understand it," Gwen Stefani told Access Hollywood.

"The dedication and the years that she's put in and to only be so young but have so much experience is kind of incredible," she continued. "I feel like I can feel her energy and like what she's doing right now, she's really blossoming and really coming to her own. She's like really being honest and finding herself."

Selena Gomez is reportedly just as excited to work with Gwen Stefani in "The Voice" season 9.

"I'm learning a lot being here," Selena said, as quoted by People. "I've been in a transition period with my music, so it is inspiring. I love being in the presence of women, especially women who are so comfortable in their own skin and support other women."

Gwen Stefani may indeed need support from Selena Gomez in guiding her team on "The Voice" season 9. After all, she just announced her divorce with Gavin Rossdale a couple of weeks ago.

"Their priority is making sure they maintain a safe and secure home for their children regardless of what's happening," a source close to Gwen Stefani reportedly told People in a previous report.
