Are actress Lee Da Hae and Super Junior's Heechul dating? According to the two, they are close but only in a brother-sister kind of way. They do like to joke around when talking about each other. But he has also told her that he loves her.
The actress and singer/actor have been good friends since they met at the birthday party of F.T. Island's Lee Hong Ki three years ago. Lee Da Hae says she and Heechul became close quickly and have been best buddies ever since. She was among the celebrities that appeared in support of Heechul's first solo radio hosting of "Youngstreet."
When the actress appeared on the recent KBS2 "Entertainment Weekly," she mentioned that Heechul was doing well while fulfilling his military service. The only problem he faces is the fact that he is so lonely. And occasionally he is jealous of what the other Super Junior members are up to.
"He is jealous that the Super Junior members are on their world tour and were getting to meet women in South America," said Lee.
When she tried to make Heechul feel better by saying that she would come visit him, he did not hesitate in saying, "You had better come and see me, because I love you."
And yet as devoted as they are, the two friends have no problem making fun of each other. Heechul once accused Lee Da Hae of having ulterior motives in wanting to get closer to him.
"We're just friends," he said. "But I do think that she has feelings for me."
Whether that was true or not, Lee Da Hae won't say, but she does admit that now Heechul is more like a brother to her. Well, what she actually said was that he was more like a sister.
"He is more like a sister to me than any man could be," said Lee, who added that the fact Heechul was so feminine for a man made it easier for her to get close to him.
Lee's comments did not seem to bother Heechul. He responded by saying that "despite her superior beauty, she is not so feminine either and seems tomboyish."
The two have an interesting relationship, whatever it is, and while Heechul serves in the military, they stay in close touch and keep up to date by skyping.
Lee, 29, is best known for her work in "My Girl," "Green Rose," "The Slave Hunters" "Miss Ripley" and "Iris 2." Heechul, 29, has also appeared in several dramas, most recently Youth Melody in 2011.
