The latest "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 spoilers revealed that the premiere episode would start off where the show ended in the finale, while giving viewers a glimpse of both the future and the past.

"We're actually picking up all over the place," executive producer Julie Plec told Entertainment Weekly.

"We're picking up a little bit in the future, we're picking up a lot in the future, we're doing a little bit of a time shuffle as we launch into the season."

"One timeline is set very much in the future and the other timeline will catch us up to the events of the final scene of last season," the showrunner added.

According to "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 spoilers from International Business Times, fans will get to see what happened to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) moments before the season 6 finale.

The outlet also hinted that there may be a time jump in the premiere episode, which would further explain the dynamics between the two brothers. Wesley shared that they have been gettting requests from fans to dedicate an entire episode for Damon and Stefan.

"I know that someone is after Damon and Stefan," Wesley told PopSugar, about the possible plot.

"And there's imminent danger and threat. They're running from this thing, but I don't know what it is. It's ambiguous, but obviously on purpose."

In the interview, the actor also revealed that "TVD" fans will get to see more of the Damon-Stefan brother relationship in the coming episodes.

"People seem to love the brothers together," Wesley said.

"They love that dynamic and people always talk about how that's their favorite relationship. So in that capacity, yeah."

"Their relationship is the most interesting one on the show, I think. I hope. They start out as these enemies , there's so much history and I love doing the flashbacks."
