Apart from the reality singing competition, Pharrell Williams and Missy Elliott are also working on a new album together. The "Happy" singer said that he is looking forward to working with the rapper on the exciting collaboration.
"The way her mind works when we're in the studio...just the things that she says and thinks about, her video concepts," he said in an interview on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon," via BET.
Pharrell Williams also shared that he was in awe of how hands on Missy Elliott was in terms of producing her own music.
"I didn't know that her video concepts were hers," he said. "I'm so proud of her. That's Virginia."
Early this year, Missy Elliott surprised everyone with her performance at the 2015 Super Bowl, alongside Katy Perry. It was said that it was actually the "Roar" singer's idea to bring Elliott to the stage.
"It's an interesting idea that Katy has," executive producer of the halftime show Ricky Kirshner told Billboard. "I have 23- and 25-year-old daughters, who know how to keep a secret, and they thought it was a great idea. She brought a different element to the show."
Meanwhile, other celebrity mentors include Selena Gomez for Gwen Stefani's team, Brad Paisley for Blake Shelton's group and John Fogerty for Adam Levine's contestants. It was said that Rihanna will be the key adviser for all contestants.
