Ratings for the SBS criminal investigation series, "Mrs. Cop" continue to increase. According to the September 1 report published by Nielsen Korea, "Mrs. Cop" recorded 12.8 percent for its ninth episode, which aired on August 31. This was an increase of 0.8 percent from the eighth episode, reflecting record ratings for the series.
"Mrs. Cop" stars Kim Hee Ae (Secret Love Affair) as Choi Young Jin, a female detective who is the chief of her squad. She balances motherhood with the grisly nature of her job, which explores violent crimes.
Kim Min Jong (Secret Door, A Gentlemen's Dignity) portrays senior detective Park Jong Ho.
Son Ho Jun (Reply 1994), Lee Da Hee (Big Man) and BEAST's Lee Ki Kwang round out the cast.
Ratings for MBC's period drama, "Hwajeong" decreased 0.5 percent from its previous episode. The series recorded 9.0 percent in nationwide viewership.
Meanwhile, the KBS2 family drama "Eccentric Daughter-In-Law" yielded 4.1 percent in viewership. This was a decrease of 0.8 percent.
The love line for "Eccentric Daughter-In-Law" continues to increase as Oh In Young (Sistar's Dasom) grows closer to Cha Myeong Seok (Ryu Soo Young).
"Eccentric Daughter-In-Law" embraces the premise of scripted reality shows that craft relationships involving stars and ordinary citizens. A washed-up pop star, In Young, attempts to bond with her virtual mother-in-law. In the process of filming her reality show, she falls in love with Myeong Seok.
