"Yong Pal" ratings increased for the tenth episode of the SBS medical drama. According to the September 4 report issued by Nielsen Korea, "Yong Pal" recorded 17.4 percent in nationwide viewership. This was an increase of 0.4 percent in viewers from the ninth episode.
The September 3 episode of "Yong Pal" focused on the return of gangster physician Kim Tae Hyun (Joo Won) to the corrupt corridors of the twelfth floor at Han Shin hospital. Tae Hyun left Han Yeo Jin (Kim Tae Hee) behind at the rectory, to seek medical care for an immigrant mother and her newborn child. He returned to the hospital where he met Yeo Jin.
Tae Hyun was met with surprising news regarding the fate of Nurse Hwang (Bae Hye Sun) and Chief Shin (Cha Soon Bae). He became distraught when he discovered that his sister had been moved to the twelfth floor of the hospital, rendering her under the care of the Han conglomerate family.
The MBC vampire drama, "Scholar Who Walks the Night" recorded 7.9 percent. This was an increase of 0.9 percent in viewership, from the previous episode.
Episode 18 marked another turning point for the series, as Gwi (Lee Soo Hyun) ascended to the throne and attempted to convince the citizens of the kingdom that he was not a vampire. He demonized Kim Sung Yeol (Lee Joon Gi) and blamed him for a series of attacks that were carried out by rogue vampires.
The deposed king (TVXQ's Changmin) joined forced with Sung Yeol to lead the fight for humanity. While he questioned his own strength, Sung Yeol also recognized that the blood of Seo Jin (Lee Yoo Bi) held the key to defeating Gwi.
The KBS2 political series, "Assembly." recorded 6.0 percent.
