Nick Gordon insisted that he tried to revive Bobbi Kristina Brown after she was found unconscious face-down in a tub in January this year in light of the wrongful death accusation leveled against him.
Through his attorney, the 22-year-old filed a response to the $10-million lawsuit as he claimed that he tried to administer CPR after taking his girlfriend from the bathtub.
The affidavit, obtained by E! News, said, "Defendant admits that he tried to 'wake up' Ms. Brown and attempted to get her to react and that he performed CPR on her, and Defendant further admits that others unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate Ms. Brown."
The family of Bobbi Kristina Brown filed a civil suit against Nick Gordon after he reportedly stole from the estate of Whitney Houston's daughter, as well as the allegations that he was violent towards her. Accordingly, he stole $10,000 from her account while she was in coma.
When the 22-year-old died in a hospice in Atlanta on July 26, the suit was amended by prosecutors to include wrongful death.
Nick Gordon was also accused of faking their marriage in order to get a lion's share of Bobbi Kristina Brown's $20 million inheritance.
"Defendant admits he had several types of relationships with Ms. Brown and that Ms. Brown considered themselves married and held themselves out as such although they did not legally get married before her passing," it said.
The lawyers for Nick Gordon are asking the court to dismiss the charges against him.
Back when the lawsuit was filed, Nick Gordon's lawyers already released a statement that read, "Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly...Nick intends to expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
