It is wrong to say that love does not cost a thing anymore. Jessica Simpson, shared during an appearance on CNBC's Closing Bell on Thursday, Sept. 10, joked that marrying first husband Nick Lachey was one of the worst financial decisions she ever made, as reported by US Magazine.

"The biggest money mistakes? I don't know. For some reason I thought of my first marriage!" she told Evans, laughing, reported US Magazine .
"That's actually a common answer, believe it or not," Evans replied.
Simpson and Lachey were married from 2002 to 2006. During that time they starred in their own MTV reality show, "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica."
After their divorce nearly 10 years ago, the 98 Degrees singer moved on with Vanessa Minnillo, whom he wed in 2011, US Magazine noted. They have two kids. A son who is 2 years old named Camden and a daughter, Brooklyn, 8 months.
Meanwhile Simpson, dated Tony Romo and John Mayer before finding love. She is now married to Eric Johnson, with whom she has daughter Maxwell, 3, and son Ace, 2.
Last year, Lachey told Jenny McCarthy that he and his ex were no longer in touch. "I wouldn't say it's friends and I wouldn't say it's enemies - there is just no contact," he explained. "We both moved on with our lives. It's not animosity, it's not friendship, it's just kind of nothing," US Magazine reported.
