George Clooney was once branded as an eternal bachelo, and Hollywood's most eligible one at that. But it seems that his wife, Amal Alammudin, was all it took to change the actor's perspective in life.

According to reports, George Clooney and his wife are purportedly ready to have a baby almost a year after getting married.

Not only are they trying to conceive, but the Hollywood A-lister and Amal Alammudin are allegedly planning on who to ask to be their unborn baby's godparents.

"Thats how keen he is to start a family," an insider told Dish Nation. "He's asked his best friends to be godparents before their little one has even been conceived."

According to the report, even George Clooney may have been surprised at how being married to Amal Alamuddin has changed his life.

"George never thought he'd find, and marry, someone like Amal. So already things are happening he never thought possible," the source dished out. "And there's something about the idea of creating a part of the two of them together that would live on forever that appeals to him."

So, who do George Clooney and his wife want to be their baby's godparents?

According to the source, the couple has chosen Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford to be their unborn baby's second parents.

Rande and George Clooney have reportedly been close friends for two decades now. Their vacation houses in Cabo San Lucas are even next to each other.

"They actually discussed it all during one of their Mexico vacations recently," the source added. "Amal rolled her eyes because it came up when they were drinking, but she'd love for them to have the honor if the pregnancy happens."

Rande reportedly said yes to Amal Alammudin and George Clooney's request.

"It's now or never to be honest," the source said about George and his wife planning to have a child. "Rande and Cindy think he would make a great dad and they tell him all the time."
