Wilmer Valderrama and Demi Lovato have been dating for five years now, and rumor has it, the singer is purportedly getting tired of waiting to be engaged to the "That '70s Show" actor.
A source claimed that Demi Lovato was purportedly hoping that she would get engaged to Wilmer Valderrama on her 23rd birthday recently.
But there's a problem - Wilmer didn't propose.
"After years of dating and surviving relationship highs and lows, Demi is 100 percent ready to marry Wilmer and she's secretly crushed that they're not engaged yet," a source told Dish Nation.
"She really thought that he was going to propose to her on her birthday last week, especially in light of the fact that she lost her beloved dog Buddy recently and needed something to be happy about."
Though Demi and Wilmer celebrated her birthday, the former Disney actress was allegedly waiting for her beau to pop the question - but the question remained unasked throughout the day.
"Puppies and roller coasters are sweet, but Demi had something a little more romantic and a lot more expensive in mind," the source added.
Demi Lovato purportedly didn't have the heart to tell Wilmer Valderrama about her disappointment that they're still not engaged.
"Demi would never let Wilmer know how disappointed she is because she loves him too much to make him feel bad, but she has definitely confided in her friends," the source added.
"She realizes that she's still young, but she's not your average 23-year-old. Demi's been killing it career-wise the past few years and she's ready to make a real commitment to Wilmer and their future."
Despite not wearing a ring on her finger, Demi Lovato is allegedly very much contented with her relationship with Wilmer Valderrama.
Wilmer has never left Demi's side all through her battles with drugs, alcohol, an eating disorder and bipolar disorder.
"People told him, 'You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it,'" Demi Lovato said in a previous interview with Cosmopolitan magazine. "But he was like, 'I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about.' We relate on a lot of levels."
