Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are reportedly back together after the "Batman" actor apologized to her for cheating with their nanny.

In previous reports, Affleck has vehemently denied that he cheated on his wife. He, however, decided to apologize to her during a counseling session in an attempt to save their marriage. The actor insisted that her relationship with the nanny only happened after they have broken up.

"Ben took responsibility for his relationship with their former nanny, Christine Ouzounian," an insider told Radar Online.

"The relationship had started after the couple had already split up, but Jen was humiliated when the relationship went public."

The source added that Affleck's relationship with Ouzounian was purely platonic at first. The nanny reportedly confided to the actor, about how Garner was always criticizing how she handled the kids. As they spent more time with each other, the two eventually developed feelings for one another.

During the therapy, Garner explained that she has always felt that Affleck was never on her side.

"Jen had felt that she was being unfairly attacked by Ben, and couldn't understand why at the time," the insider continued.

"They were trying to co-parent their kids but Ben was just being a real bear to deal with. Now she realizes what was really going on."

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been attending marriage counseling sessions, according to In Touch Weekly. The actress, however, had no intention of getting back with her estranged husband. It was said that she only wanted to work things out for the sake of the kids.

"Not having to be Ben's mother has been a huge relief," the source shared. "She isn't even ready to date, that isn't even being discussed. Ben is a great dad, and Jen is committed to co-parenting in a positive manner."
