There have been rumors that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are on the verge of a divorce due to various problems.

The couple has been mum about all the gossip surrounding their marriage, until Ellen DeGeneres recently addressed the rumors by clarifying that she and Portia de Rossi are "madly in love."

"We don't know anything about it until somebody tells us," Ellen DeGeneres said in an interview with Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show, as quoted by ET Online. "I don't read the tabloids, and I don't have a publicist."

"I don't know why they do this. We're kind of flattered. We really don't almost break up, we don't fight, we're madly in love, and I guess it's boring," the talk show host added about her and Portia de Rossi's relationship.

Star Magazine has previously reported that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have reportedly been going to couples' therapy to sort out their issues.

"It was a very unhealthy situation, but they have begun the healing process," a source told the magazine, as quoted by Celeb Dirty Laundry.

"They are finally dealing with their issues. Portia often complains that she feels bullied. With Ellen's show on hiatus for the summer, she is home bossing Portia around all day and expecting her to be at her beck and call."

In June, the couple has been spotted in Cape Town Airport after spending a week on a safari holiday at the luxury Sabi Sands Reserve lodge in Singita.

Some speculate that the trip was one of the couple's efforts at working at their relationship to prevent a looming divorce.

"And the vacation appears to have done wonders for the pair, who both looked relaxed and at ease ahead of their flight," Daily Mail previously reported about the couple's arrival after their vacation.

"The pair put divorce rumors firmly to rest as they walked hand in hand through the airport only separating to hug friends goodbye at the terminal," it added.
