Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's split may be old news, but the "Twilight" actress's recent statements could have shed new light on how she moved on from their relationship.
Did her "Equals" co-star, Nicholas Hoult, help Kristen Stewart get over her failed relationship with Robert Pattinson?
That's what the actress claimed in a recent interview with The Daily Beast, as published in a news report last Sunday.
Does that mean that Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult were involved in a relationship? Not quite.
According to the "Twilight" actress, she and Nicholas Hoult established a strong friendship when they began filming "Equals" in August 2014.
Both were on the process of moving on from their breakups - Kristen from Robert Pattinson, and Nicholas Hoult from Jennifer Lawrence.
"It was incredibly painful," Kristen Stewart said. "Ugh, f**king kill me."
"It was a really good time for both of us to make this movie. Not all of my friends have been through what I've been through, or what some people have tasted at a relatively-speaking young age, and we were not expected to do anything. Everything that we did was explorative, and a meditation on what we already knew."
It seemed that having Nicholas Hoult on her side during those times may have helped Kristen Stewart ponder on her life after Robert Pattinson.
"We all felt akin by how much we've been through, and to utilize that is so scary," the "Twilight" actress added, as quoted in the news report.
"And to acknowledge it, reassess, and jump back into it? Usually you want to move on. But at least we could use some of that for some good."
News of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's split first came out in 2012, when Kristen allegedly cheated with her "Snow White And The Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.
According to Us Weekly, it seems that the "Twilight" co-stars have both moved on from their relationships, with Kristen Stewart reportedly dating visual effects producer Alicia Cargile, and Robert Pattinson being engaged to FKA Twigs.
