The trade rumors surrounding the NBA involved the possible comeback of Sebastian Telfair as the 14th pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves back in 2004 is supposedly being eyed by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Meanwhile, rival Boston Celtics are looking at adding Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson or Atlanta Hawks all star Al Horford to the team.
Both teams, the winningest franchises in NBA history, are trying to crawl of the bottom cellar of their respective conferences.
Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops started the latest NBA rumors in a tweet, "Los Angeles Lakers expressed interest in point guard Sebastian Telfair, league sources tell Sheridan Hoops. However, nothing is imminent."
But this bit of news just doesn't make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers whose point guard position is already an embarrassment of riches with no. 2 draft pick D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Marcelo Huertas and even reigning sixth man of the year, Lou Williams, in the mix.
Michael Saenz wrote for Sir Charles In Charge, "In fairness, this is just one of (probably) many possibilities that the organization is discussing behind closed doors."
"Though, I would think that the Lakers could go another route that would offer much more of a possibility in the way of reward than what Telfair could," he added.
In other NBA trade rumors, the Boston Celtics are reportedly eyeing either Tristan Thompson or Al Horford to buttress its roster.
Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald tweeted, Hurricane Danny considering a big and more powerful move, but wants to retain flexibility. May look to get another storm involved."
Then the New England Sports Network reported that the Danny Ainge is looking at the two big men.
Tristan Thompson and Cleveland Cavaliers are on a deadlock as the forward wanted a max deal which the team is not willing to risk. Meanwhile, Al Horford is practically double-double machine for the Atlanta Hawks which would surely help the Boston Celtics.
