Two dramas that ended on the same day both ended with the female main character falling to her death.

The MBC drama "Gu Family Book" and the SBS drama "Jang Ok Jung Lives for Love" both aired their final episodes on June 25. In the ending of both dramas, the male female characters Dam Yeo Wool (Bae Suzy) and Jang Ok Jung (Kim Tae Hee) died for love.

In "Gu Family Book", Dam Yeo Wool gets shot by a man sent by Jo Kwang Woong (Lee Sung Jae) who was trying to kill Choi Kang Chi (Lee Seung Gi). Even after getting shot, she hangs onto her life and prepares for the end of her life. Dam Yeo Wool shares a last kiss with Choi Kang Chi and dies in his arms.

The setting of the drama suddenly changes to year 2013. Approximately 422 years have passed. Choi Kang Chi and Dam Yeo Wool are reunited unexpectedly and begin their new love story.

Dam Yeo Wool's death was calm and full of heartache which brought tears from the viewers.

In "Jang Ok Jung Lives for Love", Jang Ok Jung chooses death. When she is framed for plotting against Queen In Hyun (Hong Soo Hyun), she decides to drink poison in order to save Lee Soon (Yoo Ah In) and their son. Even though Lee Soon tries to save her life by sending her off, Jang Ok Jung refuses and returns to the palace.

Lee Soon holds Jang Ok Jung, crying until she dies. Even though her death was not dramatic, it was a very heartbreaking scene.

Viewers responded with comments like, "Female main characters all died. My eyes have no time to dry up", "Why do they all die? I was waiting for a perfect happy ending" and "They look so different in their death scenes."
